About Joyce House
Our goal is to provide a foundation where women can rediscover their strengths, reconnect with their purpose, and build the confidence to thrive in life beyond addiction. This is more than just a sober living home; it’s a place for transformation, healing, and hope.
A Message from Joyce House Founder & Director
About Joyce Marilyn Planque
Joyce House was born from my mom’s story. My mother, Joyce, faced her own battle with alcoholism and, though she wasn’t able to find lasting recovery, her journey continues to inspire mine. Our relationship was complicated. She had me at 16, without the tools or support she needed, and we often struggled to connect. Yet, in losing her, I found the deepest reason to create this home: so that other women could have what she didn’t—a safe, supportive place to heal. This home is both a tribute to my mom and a gift to other women. Joyce House exists to provide what every woman deserves: stability, compassion, and the chance to rebuild. It is a place to connect, to grow, and to discover the joy of sobriety. By honoring my mom’s name, I hope her story inspires others to begin their own—one filled with resilience, freedom, and lasting recovery.
Love, Nicolle
